We’re very excited to announce that Lee’s Awakening has hit #5 in the Kindle store for the Lesbian Romance category. It has also cracked the top ten in the overall books rankings for lesbian fiction at #7. This makes it officially our best-selling release ever, and we’d like to congratulate Rebecca Montague for her outstanding work.
Rebecca is hard at work on a new novella and has two novels in the planning stages. We are definitely looking forward to what she will share with us next!
Rebecca Montague’s writings are the cornerstone of Cape Winds Press. Her latest novel is Lee’s Awakening, available in print and for Kindle.
Realistic. Erotic. Romantic.
These are words I try to encompass in my writing. I like to create characters you can imagine knowing in person and put them in situations where romance is unexpected and yet inevitable. My themes tend to include coming out and May-December love, because both provide equal doses of resistance and surrender.
I don’t shy away from description-and plenty of it-because a romance should make your heart beat faster!
The question I am asked most is whether my books are autobiographical. While I do use places I am familiar with, I can’t claim to have had nearly as exciting a life as those of my characters. I live in Florida with my partner and assorted pets.
After less than a week out, Lee’s Awakening has cracked the top ten in the lesbian fiction category of the Kindle store and is in the top 15 for overall lesbian fiction (print and Kindle). Thanks to everyone who took the early opportunity to read this fabulous novel! There’s no time for resting on laurels, however. We’re hard at work on the next releases, two romantic novellas from Rebecca and Leslie Adams and the Kindle version of the ever-popular historical romance Tahoma (written by your humble editor).
What genre do you read the most?
Socialite Lee Compton is about to learn that when it comes to love, there are no rules. A chance meeting with decidedly blue-collar Ray Elliot sets both on a path that will turn their perfect worlds upside down.
348 pages. ISBN 978-1589720084 (print)
“Sometimes people think they’re making mistakes when they really aren’t.” Ray’s voice was surprisingly soft compared to her expression.
“How do you know the difference?” Lee’s own voice sounded strange to her ears.
“You don’t until it’s over.” Ray stepped closer to her and lifted her hand to Lee’s shoulder again. Lee felt her heart thudding in her chest. The two women studied each other for a moment longer, and then Lee closed her eyes as Ray leaned forward.
Our first collection of erotic short fiction is now available in paperback and will soon be reaching a bookstore near you. Also available in Kindle format for purchase.

From Taking a Ride (Vicky Smythe):
Lauren’s breath grew ragged and she lifted a hand to the back of Deanna’s head, holding her against her breast. Deanna closed her lips and flicked rapidly at the tip of the nipple in her mouth, feeling Lauren’s response with a hungry pleasure. She drew back and let the nipple scrape through her teeth before kissing to the second to repeat her attentions. Finally, when she sensed Lauren’s legs trembling, she lifted her hands and undid the woman’s belt and the button of her jeans.
From Emerald Eyes (Leslie Adams, author of Allergic Reaction):
She reached up to pull Beth against her mouth, but Beth resisted. Before Stephanie could protest, she felt Beth’s hands at the button of her jeans. With agonizing slowness, Beth unzipped her pants and pulled them down. Stephanie lifted her hips automatically, feeling the air on her thighs and then–suddenly–Beth’s breath against the cotton of her briefs.
From Lightning (Rebecca Montague, author of A Wild Sea and Barnfire):
Cori rolled on top of me, her hips pressing between my thighs with gentle insistence. I spread my legs and welcomed her, sliding my arms around her body as she bit down my neck to my shoulder once again, capturing me with her teeth. Her hips nudged against mine, beckoning, promising. Her hand slid between our bodies, searching out my heat. She made a soft sound as she covered her fingers in my wetness, exploring me with a gentle touch.
